Not So Spooky Halloween Nursery Tour

Spooky season is here and I am thrilled - this is the first exciting holiday it feels like Roos can be fully involved with!

His room is hands down the most festive space in the house right now. When pulling out the tubs of Halloween decor we’ve collected over the last few years, I felt slightly convicted to get rid of anything with witches on it. That may sound silly, but in doing so it made me more mindful of our decor in general and what can grow with Roos when shopping for his room. When it comes to toys, I love color and pick out the tackiest and most fun ones I can find - but for decor, I definitely lean more beige.

With Roosy’s room, I primarily looked for pieces that felt more fall (with the exception of his tiny mouse mummy, how could I resist that?!) with pumpkins and footballs galore. My favorites are the MacKenzie-Childs striped pumpkin and the football garland. I bought the garland when I was pregnant before finding out the gender - we just knew he was a boy!

The festive bear wearing the pumpkin sweater was mine as a child, so of course he makes a debut for all of the holidays. I plan to refresh his room for all the main holidays - the biggest challenge I’m anticipating this year is the expense of buying so many books at once! That said, I can easily (too easily, if you ask Peyton lol) justify that with the fact that we’re reading every day and these books will last for years!!
