The Cutest DIY Football Halloween Costume

One of Peyton’s favorite costumes growing up was dressing as a football player, so naturally that was on his list for Roos. I chose Roos’ sheep costume last year, so it was Daddy’s turn to plan the costumes! But let me tell you - there are next to no cute authentic options for toddler boys, so I had to scour the internet to source the pieces. Peyton dressed up as a coach, complete with a clipboard of plays and I was Roosy boy’s #1 fan!

Our goal was authentic, so a Party City costume was not going to cut it. After hours on TikTok and Etsy, I was able to find the perfect jersey and game pants. Since we bought a blank jersey, I used heat transfers for the numbers and his name. To complete the look, I paired it with tall white socks and a pair of all white sneakers - and a football, of course!

This was the sweetest Halloween of my life. Roos had so much fun running around with all of his friends and he caught on so quick - he would run up to the candy buckets all by himself and go straight for the Reese’s Cups! I can’t wait to see him next year saying ‘trick or treat.’
